Giving
Why Give?
Everything we have comes from God, and giving is part of our worship and response to him. We want to trust him in every area of our lives, including our money. Giving supports everything that we do and is made possible through God’s generous provision to us and the giving of our church family.
We teach the biblical practice of tithing - giving the first 10% of our earnings to the Lord as an act of worship.
We also seek to grow in our generosity over and above the tithe, giving to special offerings, to other charities and organisations, and to those who have need.
The best way to give is to set up a standing order. It’s easy to do and there are no bank charges or fees for us as a church.
Where does my money go?
Your giving enables us to run all of our church activities, employ staff and bless Cheltenham and beyond! We run a yearly budget, which is presented at a Church Family meeting after Easter. This gives us the opportunity to be transparent about where we are spending our money and what our priorities are. It also facilitates togetherness where the whole church is involved in major decisions and allows church members to own the budget together.
