Camp Practical Details

Location

We’ll be on Mike & Katie’s farm, about 15 minutes from the eastern edge of Cheltenham. The exact location is:

Programme

The aim of us gathering is to spend time together and keep building relational life amongst us. As a result we don’t have a packed programme, although we do have some activities planned! Its perfectly fine to just come and drink coffee, or throw yourself into things!

For those who want to there will be some activities:

Wide games, Rounder, football, treasure hunt etc

Staying Overnight

If you are staying overnight a few things to note:

Arrival

  • Arrival is from XXam on Friday, although you can arrive anytime

  • There is plenty of parking and space on site.

Equipment

  • Please bring the usual camping kit, although with most meals provided and hot water available you may not need to bring a stove.

  • If you need to borrow any camping equipment, please just shout as we have some spares!

  • The weather is not guaranteed so bring a warm top for a cold evening and rain coat! If the weather is hot remember hats and suncream!

  • For those with children, please bring some toys and activities for the more unstructured times!

Facilities

  • In case of hot or inclement weather we will have multiple gazebos to provide shade/shelter.

  • We have two toilets and two showers on site, for us to use. Two of these are indoors and two outdoors

  • There will be a supply of water from an external tap, so bring a water carrier if you need one. We will be bring 3 of these for communal use.

  • We will provide plates for the BBQ and hot drinks as needed.

Food Arrangements

For the shared meals, we can provide gluten free / veggie options etc. Please let us know if you need this option so we can cater accordingly.

If you are coming before lunch on Friday please bring lunch for yourselves.

Friday night BBQ

On Friday we will be sharing a BBQ come rain or shine. The church will provide meat and rolls. If each family and person could bring something savoury and something sweet to share, that would be great!!

If a few of us could bring soft drinks too that would be ace. We will have a plentiful supply of hot water for drinks too.

Saturday Breakfast

Anthea has kindly agreed to cook bacon butties on Saturday morning, for those staying over.

Saturday Lunch

On Saturday lunch we asking everyone to provide a picnic / light lunch for themselves.

Day Visitors

If you are visiting on Friday evening or during the day on Saturday a few things to note:
